Presentation Night
We held our annual Presentation Night in the function suite on Friday, 13th June. Players old and new danced until
midnight fuelled by a spectacular buffet. In addition to the usual
raffle there was also an auction of football memorabilia donated by
Arsenal Ladies, Chelsea Ladies, Liverpool and West Ham United including
signed photographs, programmes and shirts.
Grateful thanks to Sharon McGovern and Sue Smith for all their hard work in organising a really enjoyable evening for everyone.
Each member of the 2007-08 squad received a statuette memento and addition awards went to the following players:
• Manager’s Player of the Year: Courtney McGovern;
• Players’ Player of the Year: Sophie Dowman;
• Most Improved Player: Sophie Mingay;
• Top Goalscorer: Kealy Farley (30 goals from 17 games).
The trophies were presented by Club President, and East Thurrock United first team manager, John Coventry.
